What to Expect When You Visit Our Office
When you come in for your first dental exam with Fairhope Cosmetic Dentistry, you will have the opportunity to meet and greet with Dr. Boles. You will have a chance to discuss any concerns you have or any pain you are experiencing at this time. We will get as much information as possible from you first, so that we can properly treat you. Dr. Boles will take his time and speak to you about your teeth. At this time, you will receive recommendations for any follow up treatments that we suggest.
When you come in for a normal appointment, you will receive your dental cleaning first. At this time, an oral cancer screening will be performed using a mouth rinse. Once your dental cleaning is done, the dentist will come and greet you. We will go over any dental concerns at this time and offer you treatment options. If you are in need of periodontal treatment, Dr. Boles will refer you to a great periodontist in the area.
Prevention and Early Detection is Key
Prevention is the best medicine for all tooth decay and gum disease; however, prevention is not always possible if you have not been provided with the correct information in the first place.
Dr. Boles recommends that you visit the dentist at least once every six months to establish a healthy dental care routine. If more appointments are needed, they will be discussed at your appointment.
One of the reasons we recommend twice a year visits is to help catch any signs of gum disease, tooth decay, and oral cancer early. Early detection can save your teeth and prevent long, expensive, and complex procedures from being performed.
