Is Your Jaw Joint Aching in Pain?
Dr. Boles offers splint therapy to provide you with relief from your TMD. We offer two types of splints to help with pain including repositioning splints and stabilization splints. Both types of splints offer TMJ relief from pain, but each serves a different purpose.
Stabilization splints are placed in your mouth to help prevent teeth grinding and bruxism throughout the day and night. Repositioning splints work to reposition your jaw to alleviate the additional stress placed on the joints.

Full-Mouth Rehabilitation: What Is It?
If you struggle with pain caused from TMD, Fairhope Cosmetic Dentistry offers you hope. When other methods of treatment do not work or your TMD is severe, Dr. Boles may recommend a full-mouth rehabilitation procedure.
The procedure is a combination of different dental procedures and techniques to alleviate your TMD and pain. The type of treatment you need will depend on how severe your condition is.
Typically, full-mouth rehabilitation includes the reshaping of teeth through the use of veneers or teeth recontouring. In addition to the reshaping of your teeth, Dr. Boles will provide you with occlusal therapy as well to provide a better bite in your mouth.
If your jaw is not positioned right or your bite is too forward or backward, occlusal therapy can help.
