Natural Fillings Offered in Our Office!
Have you been told you need dental fillings for your cavities? Are you afraid everyone will recognize what that silver cap on your tooth means? You no longer have to worry when you have your cavities filled at Fairhope Cosmetic Dentistry.
Tooth decay can grab hold of your tooth and progress rapidly when not properly looked after. One of the most efficient ways to protect your tooth from further decay is to have it filled. Traditional metal tooth fillings have been used for many years and are the most recognizable. Although metal tooth fillings are common, they are becoming outdated.
At Fairhope Cosmetic Dentistry, you can enjoy the convenience of tooth-colored, metal-free fillings for your teeth. We no longer use amalgam fillings! Our office is 100% mercury-free!
Say Goodbye to Metal Fillings for Good
There are many benefits to using tooth-colored fillings including:
- They can be matched to your teeth
- They mimic natural teeth
- They are long lasting
- They create an even and comfortable bite
So What Is A Metal-Free Filling?
Metal-free fillings are made from a composite resin, which is a combination of glass and a plastic material. Tooth-colored fillings are strong and durable, making them a great option for anyone who wants to avoid traditional metal fillings.
Why Not Metal Fillings?
Metal fillings are one of the most debated dental procedures. The reason behind the debate is whether they are good for your health or not. Many patients are unaware that metal fillings contain mercury mixed with other metal, including silver and tin as well as others. Since mercury is used in the fillings, it may pose a health risk to patients.
Fairhope Cosmetic Dentistry does not use any type of metal fillings in our office. We are considered 100% metal-free for your safety and protection.
Have concerns about metal fillings in your mouth? Call us today! Dr. Boles can provide a consultation and educate you on why you should have them switched out with metal-free fillings.
Come in Today for a Consultation
When you come in for your procedure, Dr. Boles will use a local anesthetic to numb the area around your tooth. Once the numbing agent is active and you cannot feel anything, Dr. Boles will begin the procedure and fill your tooth with the resin material.
Once the teeth filling is in place and your mouth is no longer numb, you can continue with your life as you normally would. Talking and eating will feel the same, and you will not notice a difference. After the procedure, you may experience a slight amount of sensitivity to the tooth that was just filled. This sensation is normal and will pass in a few days.
