Cover Flaws on Your Teeth with Beautiful Veneers
Are your teeth misshapen, worn down, or severely stained? Do you have a chipped front tooth or large gap that prevents you from smiling? Instead of hiding your smile, call Fairhope Cosmetic Dentistry today!
What are dental veneers? Veneers are a solution to the above listed problems that many patients face with their teeth. Instead of keeping your smile hidden, you can enjoy a beautiful smile. Dental veneers are a thin porcelain or composite shell that is placed over your tooth.
Veneers are used to improve the look of your smile by whitening your teeth, straightening your smile, and covering damaged teeth. The dental process for veneers is simple and does not require a lot of prep time, like other methods of restoration, making it an ideal solution for all residents in Gulf Shores and the surrounding areas.
Veneers are bonded to your tooth using a cement-like material. Once in place, veneers last a lifetime.
We Specialize in All Types of Veneers
There are a variety of veneer types and depending on your needs, Dr. Boles will recommend the best material and type for your teeth. Some of the veneers we offer include:
- Minimal prep veneers
- Porcelain materials and combinations
- Ultra-thin veneers
- Direct bonding composite veneers
What to Expect at Your Appointment
When you come in for a consultation with Dr. Boles, you can expect to discuss what your expectations are for the outcome of the procedure. If you are considering veneers, we will first make sure that you are a good candidate for the dental procedure. If for some reason you are not, Dr. Boles will recommend another dental treatment option.
Sometimes, patients need to have additional work performed on their teeth prior to the veneers procedure. If you are in need of a dental cleaning or exam, X-rays, or fillings, Dr. Boles will handle those treatments first.
Once you have been determined to be a good candidate, a thin layer of enamel is removed from your teeth to prepare them for the veneers. Only a small amount is actually removed, and you will not even notice a difference. After the enamel removal, an impression of your teeth will be taken and sent off to the lab.
Once the veneers come back from the lab, we will begin placing them on your teeth. After all veneers are in place and bonded to your teeth, you will be able to resume life as normal and enjoy your beautiful smile.
